Not only do we have a problem with the climate, we also have a problem with other countries.

A recent report from two top EU foreign policy executives warn that “significant potential conflicts” are likely in the decades ahead as a result of “intensified competition over access to, and control over, energy resources”. It predicts that “global warming will bring security issues for Europe, ranging from energy wars to mass migration, failed states and political radicalisation.”

Is this an objective report, or is just another in a list of doom and gloom predictions? The report was written by Javier Solana, the EU’s foreign policy chief, and Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the commissioner for external relations. I think these guys need to be as factual as they can.

It’s interesting that it was only seven pages. When it is that short, it’s meant to be taken seriously.
